GIMS STAFF NURSE SYLLABUS 2026: Government Institute of Medical Sciences, G. Noida has prescribed the subject-wise syllabus for the CBT examination for filling the post of Staff Nurse. The Staff Nurse syllabus includes 80% Theoretical Knowledge and 20% Practical Knowledge.
The question paper will be based on the General Nursing & Midwifery (Post Basic Certificate/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing) and B.Sc. Nursing curriculum. The syllabus has been divided into three sections: Section A, Section B and Section C.

Rules for the CBT Examination (Staff Nurse)
- The question paper shall consist of 100 questions in both English and Hindi. All questions will be MCQ-based. Each question shall carry 01 (One) mark. The total marks of the written examination shall be 100.
- The question paper shall include questions from General Nursing & Midwifery (Post Basic Certificate/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing) and the B.Sc. Nursing curriculum.
- No negative marks shall be awarded for unanswered questions.
- There shall be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer.
- The question paper shall be bilingual (English and Hindi). In case of any dispute regarding a question or answer, the English version shall be treated as final.
- If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, merit shall be decided on the basis of age, with the older candidate being placed higher in the merit list.
- The minimum qualifying marks for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Examination shall be:
- 40% for candidates belonging to General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Class (OBC) categories.
- 35% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- A merit list shall be prepared based on the prescribed cut-off marks and the candidates securing higher marks in descending order. Appointment to the post of Staff Nurse shall be made according to the merit list.

GIMS Staff Nurse Syllabus 2026 – Merit List
